Junior Backend Software Engineer

The Role:

We seek a Junior Backend Software Engineer who is passionate about tackling complex scalability and data warehousing problems in cybersecurity. As a team member, you will aid in the development of robust, scalable backend systems that support real-time threat detection and high-stakes data management. Your work in backend engineering will be important in elevating our products and helping clients confidently navigate their security landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable and reliable backend systems and services using Golang.
• Optimize AWS infrastructure for scalability and performance in a rapidly growing environment.
• Develop and integrate features that support microservices architecture and promote reusability and modularity.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions that operate reliably 24/7.
• Participate in code reviews, following best practices and collaborative problem-solving.
• Engage in the entire software development lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
• Respond to critical system escalations, identifying and addressing core issues with urgency.
• Participation in an on-call rotation.
  
  

Who You Are:

• You have at least 1 year of experience in software development, focusing on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• You possess proficiency in Golang, C, or similar programming languages.
• Understanding of data warehousing technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Druid, Elasticsearch) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Solid foundation in computer science principles, including algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical skills, and the ability to perform under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively in cross-functional teams and providing and receiving constructive feedback.
• Experience with network detection & response technology and cybersecurity is highly desirable.
