Junior Accountant Bookkeeper

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Work closely with the department heads to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting activity
• Assist in preparation and distribution of financial statements
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
• Work closely with the accounting team in creation of financial statements
• Assist the billing team with finance related functions
• Assist in monthly preparation of accounting schedules (Bank Reconciliations, AMEX Expenses, Sales tax, Postings)
• Work with the Controller and Assistant Controller (working with the auditors, state/city work, etc.)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
• 0 - 2 years' experience in accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
