Mosaic Companies is searching for a driven and hands-on IT Support Technician to run installs, upgrades, maintenance, and overall support of our technology equipment and software. This person would be the first contact for support of computers, telephony, audiovisual, and security. Always professional, the role will manage all system backups and procedures while meeting established guidelines and procedures.

Scope of role

  • Installs equipment in businesses in accordance with established standards and procedures; always maintains safety and professionalism.
  • Designs equipment installation process utilizing a thorough knowledge of equipment and its capabilities.
  • Ensures IT department goals are met by managing and prioritizing IT help desk tickets.
  • Performs level-one troubleshooting analysis on desktops, laptops, printers, wireless networks, phones, emails, and audio-visual systems.
  • Manages and ensures the streamlined operation of the IT department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization.
  • Provides a thorough explanation of equipment, its capabilities, and operation to the customer; responds to all questions in a courteous and knowledgeable manner.
  • Accurately completes all necessary paperwork including but not limited to work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules.
  • Maintains inventory control of assigned equipment to ensure adequate stock levels; participates in form inventory process on a regularly scheduled basis.
  • Maintains control of all assigned company property and ensures that equipment is always maintained in safe operating condition.
  • Exhibits appearance and conduct in accordance with established company standards to present a professional image to customers and the general public; maintains the highest degree of decency, honesty, and integrity.
  • When on call, ensures availability by telephone or pager contact at all times for service calls.
  • Assists in monitoring environments to identify and communicate issues which may affect the quality, efficiency, performance, or execution of business processes utilizing available monitoring tools.
  • Oversees backup software, tape rotation, system restore procedures and all aspects of server backups.
  • Oversees provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
  • Work closely with the IT Director and other departments and business units to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
