Department: Environmental Health & Safety

Location: Lakeland, Florida **(Local candidates only)**

Position Description

Saddle Creek Logistics Services is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Intern in Lakeland, FL. This position will be part of a team focusing on improving EHS related data collection and analytics across our network.

Responsibilities


  • Is or becomes knowledgeable about third-party logistics, warehouse and transportation operations    
  • Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting to track key performance indicators and measure the effectiveness of EHS programs
  • Develops/builds tracking applications with tools such as PowerApps and similar to help track organizational EHS related data
  • Creates dashboards with PowerBI or similar
  • Conducts or assists with data analysis and mapping with the goal of aligning data across the network
  • Update EHS information currently posted on internal web portal an ensure an organized presentation is provided to our internal customers
  • Prepare a statistical analysis of incidents related to job practice
  • Other duties relating to EHS as assigned

Qualifications

Education/Experience


  • Must currently be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree; High School Diploma required.
  • Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering majors strongly preferred.
  • Logistics experience/exposure is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (if Desired)


  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and third party logistics preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proclivity to accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with expertise in Microsoft Excel.PowerApps and PowerBI
  • Must be able to work autonomously and as a team member.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills; must be able to multi-task, problem-solve, prioritize, and work under pressure.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) and present information.
