The Inside Sales Leads Specialist for Staples, you will be part of a team responsible for servicing customer print needs by preparing bids and quotes with the goal of converting sales. We are looking for energetic, high output, task-minded people to join a fast-paced, growing business to handle outbound and/or inbound sales support activities. Candidates must have above average phone and email consulting skills, be tech savvy and familiar with internet software. You will be responsible for consulting with internal business partners and customers regarding sales opportunities in order to uncover all appropriate details to provide an accurate and competitive print quote. You will work closely with our Retail Print team to make a strong presentation for our category offerings and increase the number of customers buying print and promotional products.

Key deliverables and main areas of focus:

  • Meet/exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) SLA adherence, quote accuracy, activity rates and effective pipeline management
  • Engaging with business partners/customers via telephone and email to analyze their needs and customize recommendations to upsell/cross sell
  • Prepare bids and quotes being fiscally responsible to business partners/customers with accuracy and speed. Follow defined procedures and processes, and complete all required documentation for customers, as well as entries to support system(s)
  • Effectively probe business partners/customers to fully qualify sales opportunities
  • Present quote, overcome objections, and find solutions related to quote requests in order to secure the sale
  • Represent the best of Staples Print & Marketing Services in promoting products, services, and commitment to customer satisfaction to support business retention and expansion
  • Provide value-based solutions that focus on customer needs, ensure customer retention and growth and place transactional orders
  • Collaborate with account owners, internal business partners including Sales Managers, Retail Partners and vendors to ensure seamless customer experience and drive sales results

Essential skills and experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Publisher and proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Professional and effective written and verbal documentation/communication skills
  • Strong organization, prioritization, follow-up, and time management skills are a must
  • Comfortable with financial sales tracking and analysis and proven ability to sell as part of a team
  • Coachable, adaptable, able to incorporate feedback and changes quickly

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years sales/sales support experience and experience in Saleforce.com
  • Exceptional phone & e-mail communication skills
  • Previous experience in the print, promotional, or marketing field
