Summary of Duties:
As the HYPER Fiscal Specialist 2, you will be responsible for planning, organizing implementing, coordinating, and controlling all administrative services for the Hydrogen Properties for Energy Research (HYPER) Center. The anticipated percentage of duties is 25% budget and grant preparation, maintenance, and reporting; 20% purchasing, invoicing, and expenditure reconciliation; 15% interpreting implementing institutional policies and procedures; 20% personnel management; and 20% general duties in support of the HYPER Director. You will report to the HYPER Director in the School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering (MME) and collaborate with MME staff.

Required Qualifications
- Two years of experience at a level equivalent to Fiscal Specialist 1 AND 15 quarter hours OR 10 semester hours of college level accounting; OR equivalent education/experience.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
- Experience as first point of contact for a company, department, or office.
- Experience with enterprise resource management systems, such as Workday or Oracle Experience with procurement and expenditure reconciliation.
- Experience interfacing and/or coordinating with other teams/offices/departments of an institution or corporation.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- One (1) or more year(s) experience performing professional-level work with scientific or engineering groups.
- Experience with proposal budget preparation and grant management
- Experience with procurement and expenditure reconciliation.
- Experience organizing travel for faculty, staff, and students.
- Experience with productivity applications such as Airtable, Microsoft Teams, or Asana Received business administration training.
