We are seeking an experienced and passionate Billing Specialist to join our dynamic team. This is a hybrid role, allowing you to enjoy the flexibility of working from home while also benefiting from regular in-office collaboration. You will be a part of a fast-paced, innovative environment where your contributions will directly impact the financial health and success of our company.

Responsibilities

As a Billing Specialist, your primary tasks will include

• Managing the billing process, ensuring all invoices are issued accurately and promptly.
• Conducting complex reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies.
• Utilizing advanced Excel skills to create, update, and maintain financial spreadsheets and reports.
• Overseeing freight billing, ensuring all costs are captured, and invoices are accurate.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure billing accuracy and to resolve any issues.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of billing policies and procedures.
• Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Providing excellent customer service, addressing client inquiries, and resolving billing issues.
• Assisting with month-end closing activities.
  
  

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, with a focus on freight billing.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and other advanced functions.
• Demonstrated experience with reconciliations.
• A strong understanding of billing procedures and best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve complex billing issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
