Job Summary/Company:

Are you a passionate HR leader with a proven track record in building a thriving workplace culture? Our client, a national non-profit foundation is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to join their team in District of Columbia. The HR Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of human resources management for the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, fostering a positive work culture, and supporting the growth and development of our talented team.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of the HR function, including recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, training and development, performance management, policy development, and compliance.
  • Partner with the Executive Team to develop and implement HR strategies that align with our organizational goals.
  • Oversee the entire recruitment process, from attracting top talent to onboarding new hires, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness. Manage a high volume of recruitment needs, typically filling 5-7 roles per month, with the ability to surge for special projects (up to 20 roles).
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning and development by creating and implementing comprehensive training programs for all staff.
  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with employees and cultivate a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Champion the use of technology to streamline HR processes and improve efficiency.


Qualifications/Background Profile:

  • A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in HR functions.
  • A bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business Administration, Communication, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • PHR or SPHR/SCP certification (desirable).
  • Proven ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working within the non-profit sector.
  • Strong understanding of SHRM principles.
  • Proficiency in HR technology platforms.
  • A passion for building a diverse and inclusive workplace. (Bonus points for healthcare credentialing experience!)
