RESPONSIBILITIES:


Business Partner/Generalist:

  • Represent Balmain’s ethos and values; be reliable, collaborative, and act with integrity as a representative of the brand.
  • Be a leader in the business; motivate the team and empower an environment of teamwork, trust, and collaboration in the region.
  • Be a trusted resource for all employees; develop meaningful relationships and promote a positive working environment.
  • Assess opportunities and areas of development within the business and make solutions-based recommendations, including but not limited to policies & procedures, training needs, recognition programs, etc.
  • Support Employee Engagement activities and initiatives as needed.


Talent & Performance Management:

  • Partner with HR Director on Employer Branding strategies; provide training and support to internal team on best practices.
  • Support Retail team with sourcing and recruiting top talent including but not limited to intake calls, conducting interviews, and building pipelines.
  • Conduct investigation for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to resolve conflicts or concerns.
  • Analyze employee relations trends with key stakeholders and help develop proactive strategies, solutions, programs, and policies.


Compensation & Benefits

  • In partnership with HR Director and Insurance Brokers, continuously assess current benefit offerings and external trends to ensure competitive packages.
  • Spearhead Open Enrollment, including but not limited to administration, training, and communications.
  • Partner with Brokers and Providers to ensure Carrier Connections are properly functioning, accurate record keeping, and timely payment of bills in partnership with Finance.


HRIS, HR Ops & Compliance:

  • Be the first point of contact for HRIS vendors, partner regularly to ensure all system are being utilized effectively.
  • Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HR databases.
  • Manage all internal reporting for key stakeholders in HQ and US; partner as needed on impactful data and analytics.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • In partnership with ADP, manage compliance updates as needed for all locations including but not limited to wage & hour, EEOC guidelines, onboarding/offboarding paperwork, and compliance posters.


PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 4 years of relevant HR experience, preferably with a retail background
  • Strong knowledge of US labor and employment laws
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
  • Proficiency in ADP and Microsoft Office Suite, previous experience with ADP a plus
  • Occasional travel may be required

With respect to positions in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $100,000-$110,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
