Location: Hybrid in Torrance, CA


Pay Range: $75,000 - $100,000 / year


Job Description: As an HR Business Partner at Tang & Company, you will be at the forefront of our company's culture, collaborating with leaders to develop innovative strategies that align with our business goals. You will have the chance to showcase your exceptional work ethic and initiative as you assist in all areas of the Human Resources department, working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational HR consultation to assigned client groups, spanning multiple states.
  • Assess HR initiatives and develop recommendations to support business strategies.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness, talent management, employee relations, training and development, and compensation.
  • Support the Human Resources Department in creating and implementing cultural changes that align with company goals.
  • Assist, guide, and direct managers in handling human resources matters within their teams.
  • Analyze and manipulate data to create insightful reports, ensuring accurate and timely information for decision-making.
  • Manage and resolve basic and complex employee relations issues, minimizing potential risks to the company.
  • Actively participate in regular client meetings to provide HR support and guidance.
  • Stay up-to-date with legal requirements related to employee management, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Lead or assist in rolling out corporate-wide HR initiatives to client groups.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to managers on coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Foster positive work relationships, boost morale, increase productivity, and enhance employee retention.
  • Interpret HR policies and provide guidance to employees and managers.
  • Contribute to business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees.
  • Manage the company's unemployment process and participate in related hearings.
  • Support benefit and compensation plans, including explaining programs, consulting with employees, and providing administrative support.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Preferred certification: HR Certification (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP).
  • 7 years of Generalist experience with a strong understanding of local, state, and federal labor laws.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
  • Proven expertise in ADP (or similar HRIS software) and its functionalities.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a diplomatic and professional approach to sensitive issues.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven conflict management skills and the ability to foster a collaborative working environment.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
