Housing Assistant

is responsible to help meet the housing needs for newly-arrived refugees to the US by preparing housing units to be move-in ready. Plus, arranging for someone to welcome them to St. Louis at the airport and transport the refugees to their new home.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist with housing for newly arrived refugees by confirming housing arrangements and airport pick-up times.
  • Develop relationships with landlords and/or property managers.
  • Inspect housing for safety, code compliances and identify any issues.
  • Ensure housing is move-in ready with required furniture and other items, with utility service on.
  • Other assigned duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of St. Louis neighborhoods
  • Proficiency in using web‑based client database programs and Microsoft office programs
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills.
  • Manage multiple tasks at once
  • Ability to work productively in a multicultural environment and demonstrate respect for
  • Must have a car and valid driver's license with proof of insurance
  • Some evening and weekend hours
  • Willing to obtain a MO chauffeurs license.

Education And Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • Previous work experience in similar field
