Head of Data

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Head of Data to establish and lead a world-class data team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to create a comprehensive enterprise-wide data strategy, build a team of top-tier data scientists and engineers, and unlock meaningful business insights through data analytics. The successful candidate will be instrumental in optimising the overall platform experience and business model using AI/ML.

What you'll do:

As the Head of Data, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's future by defining and implementing an enterprise-wide data strategy. You will work closely with various stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Marketing, Sales, and Finance to identify unsolved user and business needs. Your leadership will guide the data science and engineering teams as they analyse data, implement statistical techniques, create data visualisations, build data pipelines, and deploy machine learning models in product. You will foster a culture that values data-driven decision making, delivering meaningful insights that influence product roadmaps and optimise business strategies.

• Define and implement an enterprise-wide data strategy, including governance, analytics, and performance
• Lead the short-term and long-term strategy to ensure delivery of outcomes and vision execution
• Partner with other functional teams such as Engineering, Product, Sales, Finance, and Marketing to identify unsolved user and business needs resulting in data-powered solutions that scale
• Provide technical leadership to data science and engineering teams
• Cultivate a data-informed culture and deliver meaningful insights that drive product roadmaps and optimise business strategies
• Drive practices for establishing metrics & KPIs to drive cross-functional alignment
