Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer provides innovative graphic design services to support the sales team and company marketing needs by conceptualizing, creating, and designing graphic initiatives.


This position manages and produces graphic assets for event décor, coordinating all related details. This position supports the company, assisting in the completion of design, signage, custom-built graphic projects, and internal advertising and marketing initiatives. This position reports to the Chief Creative Officer and Co-Founder. This position may receive further direction from the Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder and help the Production Manager and other team members when needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES | WHAT YOU'LL DO - THE FUN STUFF

  • Designs and creates creative, eye-catching conceptual computer graphics and video designs using the latest version of Mac-based software (i.e., Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) for various uses in event decor.
  • Assesses and adjusts designs to bring themes and clients’ visions to life with direction from CCO for multiple overlapping events, styles, and branding.
  • Collaborates with other teams across the company to achieve high-level design aesthetics that are cohesive and harmonious with the event or project style goals.
  • Coordinates, prioritizes, proofreads, and produces logos, collateral, custom signage, and environmental graphics for multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.
  • Utilizes time management skills to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Maintain and coordinate proper project file management on the computer, server, and other storage media.
  • May take on project management roles for various projects.
  • Participates in various meetings as a department representative. Meets with sales and production managers to plan project objectives and concepts.
  • Prepares and confirms pull sheets and visual instructions for graphic production workers to prepare and assemble deliverables for samples and events.
  • Oversee onsite event graphic asset assembly and installation as a Graphic Specialist when needed, including applying print mediums such as vinyl, foam core, etc.

  • Interfaces professionally with all people, internal and external, in a kind and respectful manner.
  • Tracks and enters time and assigns hours and tasks to appropriate events and jobs in the time and attendance system.
  • Assists in other departments as needed and directed.
  • May perform other duties as required.


QUALIFICATIONS | WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

  • A college degree in Graphic Design (specifically BS or BFA).
  • Prior graphic design experience is required. Knowledge and proven experience with current creative and production software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc., are also required.
  • Proven experience with WordPress.
  • Strong conceptual design skills and sense of style.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong ability to multi-task, pay attention to details, manage fluctuating priorities, and work fast and efficiently.
  • Great attitude and is a team player.
  • Knowledge of large-scale graphic design methods, resizing images and graphics for superior print clarity.


PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS | WHAT IT'S LIKE IN THE OFFICE

  • Availability to physically work full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm, in the Denver, CO office location, with some weekends required.
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for most of the workday.
  • Ability to work with hands and arms during the entire shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more with help.
  • Ability to handle large and potentially fragile items safely.
  • Required to move between multiple locations throughout the workday.
  • Must have 20/20 vision with correction.
  • Must be able to move and climb ladders without accommodation.
  • Must be able to tolerate cold, heat, and humid conditions.
  • Ability to tolerate moderate noise and share office space.
  • Must be able to adhere to the company dress code.


OTHER SKILLS (Nice to Have):

  • Social Media Experience - creating graphic content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Photo Editing Experience - Lightroom
