Job Description
- Provides administrative support for pre- and post-award management of grants and contracts in the Division of Biology and Medicine.
- Provides financial and administrative grant support to the BioMed Research Administration’s (BMRA) more experienced office staff who will assume responsibilities for more complex administrative tasks related to proposal submission and award management.
- Proposal preparation and review, and use of university and sponsor Grants Management Systems.
- Use of university systems for award set-up and reconciliation.
- Manages and initiates subcontract by completing sub-award order forms, amendment requests, and reviews sub invoices for accuracy.
- Extremely detail oriented and a problem solver.
- Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Advanced organizational, administrative and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills – both oral and written – to elicit and communicate information, analyze data, and to prepare and present clear, informative, and concise materials.
- Proficiency with web-based applications and tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite, FileMaker, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Workday.
- Ability to navigate various platforms/software, grants administration, with a willingness to learn.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative, research, and accounting/financial experience.
- Knowledge of federal and non-federal grants managements systems InfoEd/Coeus, Research.gov and/or Grants.gov is highly desirable.
- Position will be onsite until May 17th, then remote until June 2nd.
- Location change will occur on June 3rd.
- Hybrid eligibility after training.
