Global Art Director

MAKEUP BY MARIO is searching for a Global Art Director with 10+ years experience to join the dynamic and growing global creative team. Working outwards from our headquarters in Midtown Manhattan, the role will report into the head of creative, collaborating within a team organizing cross-functionally for the direction, execution and delivery of potent creative spanning 360 degrees of the expanding business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with the creative director on art direction and graphic design; e-commerce, 360 campaigns; digital/social content, print collateral and experiential executions
• Visual research; photography, video, social content and spatial design
• Concept ideation and visualization for robust campaigns across retail, OOH, social and e-commerce
• Collaborating with the production team to build shoot schedules/run-of-show, casting summaries
• Supervision of graphic designers and creative interns

ON SET

• Assist the creative director on formal sets; oversee supplemental social/digital needs, revise presentations, execute working layouts, collaborate with post-production on live composites
• Managing product e-commerce sets and select product still-life sets

POST PRODUCTION

• Supervise designers in the maintenance of tight image and typography reproduction standards
• Oversee retouching and video post-production in partnership with the creative director and post-production manager

KEY COMPETENCIES:

• Collaborative and inspired with strong initiative
• Must be proficient and technical in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere
• Strong graphic design skills and an eye for beautiful and clean typography
• A comprehensive knowledge of beauty and fashion photography, cinema
• Interest in the beauty, fashion and pop-culture landscapes
• Relevant experience in art direction (design, beauty, fashion, managing teams on-set)
• Post-production experience in both still and video
• Print experience with applicable technical knowledge

REMUNERATION & BENEFITS

• Competitive salary range $120,000 – $125,000
