Girls Head Soccer Coach

Herron High School is a Public Charter located in Indianapolis. Established in 2006, Herron has become one of the highest rated High Schools in the State. Herron High School is founded on the belief that a classical, liberal arts education, where students are steeped in great historical thought and invention, is the best preparation for a future life of leadership and service. Herron is a fully-accredited High School. We are a 3A IHSAA High School and offer 14 sports.

Requirements: Applicants must have the following:

• Experience Coaching High School Soccer
• Valid Driver’s License
• Clear Criminal History Check

Position Overview

• Experience with coaching Soccer at the high school level or higher;
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and leadership skills; and
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, parents, officials and members of the Herron community, and City Alliance Members

Performance Goal

A Successful Candidate:

• Will work with the Head Coach to establish and lead a successful Soccer Program that includes the development of self-discipline, character, teamwork, leadership,
• Serves as an example of exceptional professional conduct and be mindful of their representation of Herron High School;
• Encourages student participation and manage the successful day-to-day operations of the Soccer Program;
• Conducts try-outs to build a successful program;
• Practices occur after school or before school and coach must be on time for each practice and performance;
• Follows and support the Herron Coaching Handbook;
• Supports the mission of Herron High School
• Attends athletic, all-school, IHSAA and City Coaching meetings, events and professional development, as directed by the Herron Athletic Administration.

Salary: There is a stipend included with this position. This position does not come with a teaching position within Herron High School.
