FP&A Analyst

A great UHY client is seeking a FP&A Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, an Accounting or Finance Degree, and strong knowledge of B/S, I/S, and Cash Flow statements.

The FP&A Analyst role is a hybrid position. This is a client direct hire position.

FP&A Analyst Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with mid and senior level professionals on all aspects of financial consulting engagements in support of diverse needs of clients, including private equity sponsors and C-suite executives
• Assist clients in solving critical business issues by providing extensive data analysis, detailed assessments of process improvement opportunities and thoughtful presentations that clearly communicate findings and results
• Construct fully integrated, detailed financial models with dynamic inputs that are repeatable and provide clear insights
• Support cash flow-related initiatives, inclusive of cash flow modeling, cash flow acceleration, working capital optimization and capital raise activities
• Identify and model expected post-merger or acquisition synergies and analyze actual results versus expectations
• Develop detailed, ad-hoc analyses from large, complex financial and operational datasets
• Conduct industry research in support of client engagements and business development activities
• Assist in the management of complex projects consisting of multiple workstreams to help clients achieve financial and operational goals

FP&A Analyst Qualifications:

• 3-8 years prior experience in finance or accounting preferred
• Strong academic record from a top tier undergraduate institution
• Analytically oriented with significant financial modeling experience and superior attention to detail
• Ability to learn quickly and multitask with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Objective, fact-based approach to problem solving
• Adaptability and resourcefulness to help manage a dynamic work environment
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Desire to pursue a long-term career in financial consulting or restructuring
• Willingness to travel for extended periods of time
• Work collaboratively in a team setting and help propagate a collegial firm culture
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Experience with data analytics software preferred
