This is an exciting position as a Footwear Designer - Lifestyle of a beloved brand that is known as one of the footwear industry’s most respected products. As a Footwear Designer - Lifestyle you will report to the Director of Design and serve as an instrumental component of a vital team in the organization. In this role, you will: Oversee and execute various design projects within an organization | Contribute to the design process, ensuring that projects are executed with precision and creativity | Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality design solutions that meet the organization's goals and objectives | Review and oversee all tech packs for accuracy, completeness, quality, & affordability | Communicate daily with overseas factories on questions and changes to specs and standards.

How you make a difference:


  • Assist with creative direction from the Director of Design and our parent company.
  • Collaborating closely with the design team and the product line managers to create a footwear style, color,
  • Create and develop design concepts, taking into consideration project goals, target audience, and brand guidelines.
  • Responsible for creating color CAD designs, material, and graphic spec packages throughout the design process to product confirmation.
  • Utilize 3D and digital resources to create color-ups and visual line plans.
  • Work closely with the material sourcing team in Asia to develop innovative fabrications and capabilities.


What you bring to the table:

  • Ensure that all design work aligns with the organization's brand identity, maintaining consistency and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Use creative problem-solving skills to address design challenges and find innovative solutions.
  • Strong understanding of the lifestyle footwear market and trends.
  • Ensure timely completion of in-line footwear design packages and color CADs according to the development calendar.
  • Continual research of footwear sustainable materials, trend relevant and functional materials.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and design software/tools, utilizing the latest technology to enhance design work.
  • Conduct quality checks and reviews on design work to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project specifications.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive design presentations to clients and internal teams, articulating design choices and rationale effectively.



QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Fashion Design or Graphic Design
  • 1-2 years of professional design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of design projects
  • Experience in the lifestyle footwear and apparel industry required.

  • Knowledge of current design trends and best practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

  • Strong organizational skills & ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong time management skills and ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Proficiency in: Windows (Outlook / Word / Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite


Physical Demands:

  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Walking, standing for brief periods of time
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard
  • Prolonged visual acuity necessary to view video display terminal, VDT
