BASIC PURPOSE

Provide trading and systems support on the bank loan trading desk. Job responsibilities include: research/analysis, trade recordation and allocation; compliance monitoring; and maintaining information and portfolio management systems.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Process trades through trade and portfolio management system.
  • Examine and confirm trades against fund and account compliance.
  • Review cash balances and cash flows of various funds for reporting to Portfolio Managers and Traders.
  • Perform trade desk research and monitor portfolio investments through Bloomberg, rating agencies, and other news sources.
  • Reconcile portfolio holdings from various sources.
  • Coordinate with portfolio pricing and operations teams.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Wall Street sales, trading and capital markets contacts; and keep PM and analyst teams apprised of primary transactions, secondary flow, and portfolio news.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of leveraged credit markets, CLOs, industry sectors, and portfolio strategies.
  • Other department projects and functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record.
  • Solid organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Strong desire to learn and ability to adapt to dynamic market conditions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and solve problems.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
