BASIC PURPOSE
Provide trading and systems support on the bank loan trading desk. Job responsibilities include: research/analysis, trade recordation and allocation; compliance monitoring; and maintaining information and portfolio management systems.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process trades through trade and portfolio management system.
- Examine and confirm trades against fund and account compliance.
- Review cash balances and cash flows of various funds for reporting to Portfolio Managers and Traders.
- Perform trade desk research and monitor portfolio investments through Bloomberg, rating agencies, and other news sources.
- Reconcile portfolio holdings from various sources.
- Coordinate with portfolio pricing and operations teams.
- Build and maintain relationships with Wall Street sales, trading and capital markets contacts; and keep PM and analyst teams apprised of primary transactions, secondary flow, and portfolio news.
- Develop a deep knowledge of leveraged credit markets, CLOs, industry sectors, and portfolio strategies.
- Other department projects and functions.
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record.
- Solid organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
- Strong desire to learn and ability to adapt to dynamic market conditions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative and solve problems.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Must be a team player.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
