Financial Analyst

Killer Merch located in Chatsworth is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting financial planning and analysis efforts, providing insights into business performance, and contributing to strategic decision-making processes. Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):

• Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models, forecasts, and budgets.
• Analyze financial data and trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business drivers and support decision-making processes.
• Prepare and present financial reports and variance analyses to management.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate financial results and performance trends.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis to address specific business questions and challenges.

Financial Operations Support:

• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Support the finance team in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and systems.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the finance function.

Strategic Projects and Initiatives:

• Participate in strategic planning initiatives and special projects as needed.
• Provide financial analysis and support for business initiatives, investments, and strategic partnerships.
• Evaluate the financial impact of proposed business decisions and scenarios.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or related roles, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial planning and analysis tools (e.g., Tableau) preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
