STATUS: Salary Exempt

HOURS: Full-time (40 hours)

You will:

  • Create content by scripting, producing, filming and editing. Often collaborating with production coordinators, project managers, writers, directors, designers, musicians, and other creative professionals to produce the finished product
  • Work closely with the Production Coordinator and Creative Director to meet with clients, determine their film project goals, and develop a plan to achieve them within budget
  • Create and distribute final files to appropriate teams and individuals
  • Collaborate with other filmmakers in various ways on their projects
  • Maintain email communication and pertinent records on projects
  • Help cultivate, train, and oversee volunteers
  • Continually explore industry best practices, new technology, creative trends, and contribute those ideas to the film team/collaborate with other affiliated teams


You have:

  • The ability to see projects through, from conception to completion
  • Strong pre-production skills—able to create a pitch deck and storyboard
  • Presentation skills—confidently share concepts and ideas with various groups, including our Executive Leadership team
  • The capacity to manage several projects at various stages at the same time
  • Supervisory skills—able to oversee and direct people and projects
  • Artistic and practical creativity—able to solve problems in fresh ways
  • A strong understanding of what makes compelling God-stories/testimonials and the ability to use the full range of filmmaking tools and on camera interview skills to tell them in a way that inspires viewers
  • An eye for composition, movement, color, and lighting—and an understanding of how they all work together
  • A feel for how pacing and music can emotionally support and drive stories
  • Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve—a basic understanding of Adobe After Effects and Photoshop. Some motion graphics may be required.
  • An ear for great sound design, and the expertise to achieve it
  • Experience and knowledge with professional cameras, lenses, lighting and grip equipment, and audio production tools
  • Mature interpersonal skills for relating effectively with staff members, leadership, volunteers, and outside vendors
  • The ability to lead and mentor others, including volunteers
  • Excellent written communication skills, including a good grasp of the English language

What you are required to know:

  • You may have to work evenings and/or weekends to assist with special events or emergencies.
