Field Operator (PA)

The Field Operator is responsible for the assembly, operation and maintenance of sand silos in conjunction with the coordination and execution of frac sand delivery and inventory.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Communicate frequently with customers, drivers and dispatchers to ensure compliant, safe and efficient delivery of sand
  • Coordinate the mobilization and demobilization of sand silos and equipment for maximum efficiency
  • Work closely with dispatch to inform of sand counts and schedules; advises when to dispatch trucks; reroute and divert trucks accordingly to prevent and/or reduce demurrage
  • Responsible for collecting freight tickets, bills of lading and any other load data for verification and accuracy
  • Manage high call volume and electronic communications throughout shift
  • Coordinate and directs the off-loading of company assets and third-party trucks in and out of a well site
  • Assist drivers on ground guiding trucks and with connecting/disconnecting hoses from equipment as needed
  • Manage sand inventory levels on the wellsite; determine sand volume used per stage and total volume on location (and volume per silo, sand king and sand box) to establish total loads on location at the beginning of the job
  • Create and maintain a safe work environment by wearing PPE and following site safety standards
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

  • Oilfield, dispatch, logistics or customer service experience preferred
  • Experience installing, inspecting, troubleshooting and maintaining industrial equipment preferred
  • Strong work ethic with ability to work under stressful conditions at times
  • Must be able to work rotational schedule and long hours (day or night), outside with exposure to inclement weather
  • Current valid driver's license and clean MVR for the last 3 years
  • Must be mechanically and technically inclined; able to use smart phone and software programs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office - particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Must be a self-starter who works well with personnel, management, public and customers
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to read, write and speak English
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach and climb
  • Must be able to carry, push and pull 80 pounds or more
