Position Summary:

Jefferies is seeking a VP for its Semiconductor/Semiconductor Capital Equipment Equity Research team.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Create and maintain earnings and valuation models as well as industry models
  • Develop research ideas and write research publications on industry trends and stock recommendations
  • Produce marketing materials for clients
  • Attend company events, industry conferences, and trade shows
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, management teams and industry contacts
  • Communicate team’s stock views and industry themes to institutional investors, trading desks, and other internal constituencies within Jefferies
  • Develop and grow individual relationships with clients
  • Opportunity for stock coverage
  • The ideal candidate will be the "right-hand" person for the senior analyst and essentially act in a senior analyst capacity in all aspects

Key Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ yrs. in Semiconductor equity research or equivalent buy-side experience
  • Strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity, must be a self-starter
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to work independently
  • Clear and concise written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to both manage and take instruction
  • Superior financial statement modeling skills with demonstrated self-auditing abilities
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Undergraduate background in finance, accounting, with strong analytical skills. CPAs typically excel in this role.
  • Candidate with SIE/Series 7, 63, 86, & 87 licenses preferred

The salary range for this role is $125,000-$235,000.
