The Experience AI team is seeking an Embedded Software Engineering Intern who is proficient with C++, Python, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and Javascript to work in our Sunnyvale, CA office. The Experience AI team uses cutting edge AI and embedded UI frameworks to create a customized driver experience that can be intiuitively controlled by voice, touch, or gestures. The ideal candidate should be passionate about developing embedded UI software to enhance the driver’s user experience. This is a great opportunity to get hands on programming experience in a large scale fast-paced project.
Our ideal candidate is a Masters/PhD candidate who is able to work from June to December (6-month internship). This position is fully on-site in Sunnyvale, California, Monday through Friday - no remote or hybrid arrangements are possible. We also do not provide any relocation assistance (domestic or international) for this position.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with embedded software engineers to design, develop and test the next generation of in-vehicle apps to enhance driver experience using C++, Qt Framework, Android and Python.
Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient code using modern embedded technologies.
Build and implement user-friendly interfaces with a focus on usability and accessibility.
Work with PMs, Designers and QA to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Masters or PhD degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Proficiency in C++, Python, Kotlin, Javascript.
Understanding of front-end design principles and user experience.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with version control tools such as Git is a plus.
