Job Responsibilities
- Understand feature requirements and expected system behavior.
- Develop/Test/Debug embedded firmware in C and Python.
- Modify existing firmware to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs.
- Work independently to reproduce engineer observations.
- Integrate firmware patches.
- Collect debug information from devices.
- Interact with hardware (device flashing, log collection).
- Analyze test scenario results to assist with debug.
- Documentation.
- Bachelor's or Masters' degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
- C programming experience required.
- Python scripting experience a plus.
- Experience working in embedded contexts a plus (device flashing, JTAG debugging, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and at the direction of others.
- Strong problem diagnosis and resolution skills.
- A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- C or C++ experience required (not C#)
- Python experience
- GIIT (source control)
