Role: Software Design Engineer 2

Location: Redmond, WA (Onsite)

Job Responsibilities

• Understand feature requirements and expected system behavior.
• Develop/Test/Debug embedded firmware in C and Python.
• Modify existing firmware to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs.
• Work independently to reproduce engineer observations.
• Integrate firmware patches.
• Collect debug information from devices.
• Interact with hardware (device flashing, log collection).
• Analyze test scenario results to assist with debug.
• Documentation.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Masters' degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
• C programming experience required.
• Python scripting experience a plus.
• Experience working in embedded contexts a plus (device flashing, JTAG debugging, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and at the direction of others.
• Strong problem diagnosis and resolution skills.
• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
