Divisional Finance Director

Mackenzie Stuart is working in close partnership with a leading international packaging manufacturer. The company is a leading provider of Industrial bags into multiple market applications including chemical industry, films for transport, packaging for peat and wood processing, building industry and food processing along with pallet protection.

We are currently recruiting for a Divisional Finance Director, based in Lower Saxony, Germany. The role will be reporting directly to the Group Finance Director.

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Responsibility for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
• Responsibility for ensuring accurate and timely filing of the financial statutory accounts
• Identify and implement process improvements to the financial processes
• Ensure that all Company financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation
• Responsible for process optimisation within the department
• Maintenance and development of the costing system supporting business profitability, cost control and cost reporting
• Evaluate investment projects and their returns
• Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions
• Update and implement financial policies and procedures
• Provide leadership, motivate, and appraise team members with their activities through a hands-on approach whilst taking an active role in the morale and wellbeing of employees in the site
  
  

Experience

• Minimum a bachelor’s degree, educated in higher finance & economics or accountancy
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a financial role in a production or technical business
• Existing +experience with Cognos Controller and Navision
• Existing experience with SOx
• German & English to a professional level
• Experience managing a financial team is preferred
