As the Director, Supply Chain & Procurement of Interior & Exterior, you will be a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the procurement and sourcing activities related to both interior and exterior elements. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials to meet the organization's objectives.

The Role

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies for both interior and exterior elements, considering quality, cost, and timely delivery.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, fostering strong relationships to ensure a diverse and reliable supply chain for both interior and exterior materials.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules, for both interior and exterior materials.
  • Collaborate with legal and contract management teams to establish and maintain supplier agreements aligned with organizational goals.
  • Develop and manage budgets for interior and exterior projects, optimizing costs while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising the quality and aesthetics of elements.
  • Poses a zest for being informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies.
  • Utilize market intelligence to make informed decisions on sourcing strategies and product selection for automotive specific vendors.
  • Ensure that the procurement process aligns with the creative vision while meeting budgetary and timeline constraints.
  • Establish and enforce quality control standards for all materials, whether for interiors or exteriors.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address and resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to the procurement of elements, including supply chain disruptions and quality assurance, for both interior and exterior procurement.
  • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges in the procurement process.
  • Lead and mentor a team of purchasing professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support professional development within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience 10+ in a senior procurement role, with a focus on either interior or exterior automotive elements, preferably both.
  • In-depth knowledge of global sourcing, supplier management, and procurement best practices.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$195,000—$260,000 USD
