Job Description

As the Director/Sr. Director of Retail and Operations for Parfums Christian Dior, this role is pivotal in executing the rollout of the direct retail strategy, including new openings and optimizing by-door performance and operations. Responsibilities include preparing for and leading openings, driving sales and managing financial performance, operational excellence, fostering a unified, collaborative, and innovative store culture, leading recruitment, development, and retail team animation, contributing to strategic planning, and overseeing client experience and relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead pop-up and new openings, partnering across departments to prepare and execute seamlessly.
    • Spearhead pre-opening / closing meetings and take leadership of set up and break down.
    • Lead recruitment for store managers, ensuring a unified and motivated team across the direct network
  • Drive store performance and ensure commitment to brand excellence.
    • Monitor business and client KPIs across direct network, partnering with store managers to create action plans for growth.
    • Participate in budgeting and strategic development to exceed targets.
    • Manage by-door P&Ls, aligning strategies with initial retail budgeting targets.
    • Play a pivotal role in the assortment process, contributing insights for a competitive retail offering.
    • Work closely with store teams to enhance product presentation and optimize sell-through.
    • Coach management teams to ensure alignment with company goals and to cultivate an engaged, innovative store culture that promotes continuous improvement.
  • Oversee all aspects of retail operations, from openings to inventory management.
    • Ensure operational excellence by setting operational standards and driving accountability with store teams in compliance with policies and procedures.
    • Serve as field-based expert and champion for store operations, driving implementation of new tools and initiatives, providing feedback for evolution and improvement.
    • Recruit and manage the corporate and field operations team in support of the direct roadmap evolution
  • Stay attuned to market trends, sharing strategic insights with store teams, leadership, and Paris partners.
Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience managing across multiple US-based stores at once, with a strong operations background. Luxury beauty or fashion store experience a plus.
  • Proven track record of launching new store openings.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, presentation, and follow-through skills.
  • Experience in results-oriented, high-growth environments with agile, resourceful capabilities.
  • Experience building, implementing, and iterating on new processes from the ground up.
  • Knowledge of KPIs, P&L management, and operational standards.
  • Experience with operations systems a plus.
  • Candidate must be available to work in New York City.
  • Able to work a full-time, but potentially varied schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Up to 50% travel required.

LVMH Inc. uses the published salary range as a guideline to provide our employees with market competitive pay while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward various levels of expertise, performance and tenure.

While the published salary range is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position, LVMH Inc. reserves the right to pay outside of the published salary range of $170k-$230k.
