Director, Practice Operations

Education: Bachelors in a healthcare field; Masters preferred

Experience/Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years leadership experience managing Physician Practice, Strong operational skills including, but not limited to, scheduling, telephone call management, registration, insurance verification, coding, and patient throughput. Exceptional leadership skills and experience required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Ability to foster positive, collaborative relationships with physicians, patients, and team members and Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Physician Group Executive Director, plans, directs, and coordinates departmental functions including budget and financial performance; customer service; staff development/plans, performance, and training; departmental operational performance; and patient throughput of the physician practices across multiple sites. Creates and models a superior patient experience in the practice setting and seeks to improve patient satisfaction scores. Oversees Physician Operations who provide on-site support to the physician practice. Serves as a member of the Jupiter Medical Specialists Leadership team. Participates in the development of the strategic plan and implements initiatives and programs in collaboration with physician champions, key stakeholders, and team members. Ensures physician practices are compliant with all regulations and accreditation standards. Ensures compliance with financial goals through the development and administration of site budgets, regular monitoring of results and analysis of variances. Recommends types and amounts of resources required. Allocates resources based on departmental and organizational goals and objectives. Maintains all productivity standards. Benchmarks key performance indicators and major processes to ensure efficient operations. Ensures that assigned practices operate within Jupiter Medical Center’s policies, procedures, and budgets. Participates in the creation of business development and marketing plans to grow the practices. Serves on hospital committees and task forces as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned.
