The Director, Operations oversees and optimizes multiple locations' operational efficiency and effectiveness within a specific region. This position is responsible for ensuring that all operational processes align with the company's objectives and standards while driving growth by executing strategic business objectives related to sales, profitability, customer services, management, warehouse operations, delivery, and merchandising. This includes supporting the Regional Vice Presidents of Sales and Operations, the local Operations teams, and the sales force while working cross-functionally with the field and the corporate office to develop and implement key strategic initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple facilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for operational activities across all regional locations, aligning with overall organizational objectives.
  • Monitor the performance of each location within the region, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives such as programs, policies, and practices that promote a sense of belonging, purpose, and commitment among employees.
  • Oversee budgeting and financial forecasting for the region, ensuring that each location operates within allocated budgets and achieves financial targets.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operational processes, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency. Implement best practices and standard operating procedures across all locations within the region.
  • Lead a team responsible for inventory management, setting clear goals and objectives aligned with the organization's overall strategy. Ensure adherence to the cycle count process.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and quality standards across all operational activities. Implement measures to maintain high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to distribution center general managers and operational staff. Foster a culture of engagement, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a liaison between assigned distribution centers and corporate headquarters, facilitating communication, sharing best practices, and coordinating regional initiatives.
  • Train and develop distribution center general managers.
  • Serve as the Company’s champion for safety, ensuring that all staff understand the importance of safety to the Company and a continuous focus on safety in each assigned distribution center.
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively. Implement measures to ensure the safety and security of employees, customers, and company assets.
  • Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date.
  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all.
  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.
  • Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation.
  • Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations.
  • Execute team member performance improvement plans, progressive discipline, and terminations when appropriate per Company policy.

Non-Essential Responsibilities

  • Work with contractors in delivering customer service up to company standards.
  • Ensure execution of the company’s inventory, delivery, and warehouse programs.
  • Ensure company administrative standards are followed.
  • Work with sales partners to maximize the Sales-Operations partnership and the customer experience.
  • Support and maintain the implementation of company programs, procedures, methods, and practices to promote key messages and expectations.
  • Execute company initiatives and other activities requested by supervisor.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Contribute ideas on ways to optimize or improve the team, the department, and the Company.
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Business, related field, and/or equivalent experience preferred

Professional Experience

  • 5+ Years operations experience required And
  • 3+ Years managerial experience required And
  • 3+ Years retail experience required And
  • proven experience in a senior management role with a track record of success required

Pay Range

Starting from $115,000 annually
