This is a remote position with our Life Sciences & Environmental Division based in the Continental United States.



The Sales Director is responsible for the customers and leadership of a team of sales account managers within a defined geography or business unit. The incumbent is responsible for the operations, output, and coordination of an assigned sales team.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

− Assume ownership of sales, sales contracts, revenue growth, travel and selling expenses, forecasting accuracy, account development, incentives and rebate programs, customer mix, days sales outstanding, unit standard margin, pricing strategy, and other key financial goals

− Create and implement a sales strategy that supports the marketing, segmentation, product and business strategies of the company and meets the team’s assigned financial, growth, customer mix, days sales outstanding, safety, and sales goals

− Serve as a mentor for the sales team

− Coaching and developing account managers’ skills and enhancing their ability to effectively manage accounts and utilize account management tools

− Work with owned account/sales managers to define and monitor sales, portfolio, and account allocation, development, and acquisition goals, performance, and productivity

− Work with other Sales Leaders to assign team leaders for account teams

− Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the requirements and success factors of the sales roles of owned sales professionals

− Oversee and manage the relationship between MANN+HUMMEL and its customers including owning customer events

− Actively contribute to the sharing and learning of business, customer, and marketing intelligence

− Contribute to the formation of local and global sales, marketing, and product strategies

− Assist in the development and application of innovative sales techniques that enhance MANN+HUMMEL’s ability to gain a competitive advantage in sales

− Monitor distribution channels and sales methods

− Develop and give oral and written presentations to customers, industry players, and MANN+HUMMEL business leaders as needed

− Champion an ethical sales culture that represents the company in accordance with its values and vision


REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

− Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, or Engineering

Experience:

− 5+ years minimum sales experience within a manufacturing environment

− 3 years minimum experience as a Sales Manager, or Product Marketing Manager

− Water Treatment sales experience

Required Skills:

− Sales team leadership within a manufacturing environment

− Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word Excel, PowerPoint)

− Proven ability in hitting KPIs, and sales goals/targets

− Ability to travel up to 50% (primarily domestic)

Preferred Experience and Skills:

− Sales team leadership experience within a manufacturing environment

− Membrane technology sales/sales leadership experience
