Role Overview:

As the Head of Sales & Business Development, you will be responsible for leading all sales initiatives at our company. You will play a critical role in managing and nurturing our sales pipeline, from prospecting new clients to maximizing revenue from existing channels. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing strategies to enhance our closing percentages, understanding customer needs, and delivering compelling offers that drive business success.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and nurture the sales pipeline, encompassing new and outbound initiatives, while also optimizing revenue generation from both partner and client channels
  • Develop strategies for the (Future) sales team and initiatives for how we can grow our sales channel.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve closing percentages and drive revenue growth
  • Understand the needs of our customers and tailor solutions to meet their requirements effectively
  • Attend trade shows and industry events to network, generate leads, and represent the company's brand. (approximately 6 per year)
  • Travel to Florida periodically for in-person team training sessions (approximately 6 times per year)
  • Work collaboratively in a remote, high-performance team environment to drive results and exceed sales targets
  • Utilize your background in B2B sales within the gaming and/or payments industry to leverage industry knowledge and expertise in sales negotiations and deal closures
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and new product developments within the gaming and payments industry
  • Conduct regular research and analysis on competitor activities, market trends, and customer preferences to identify opportunities and threats
  • Report findings to management and provide recommendations on innovative product solutions and enhancements to meet evolving client needs and stay ahead of competitors
  • Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to ensure alignment between customer needs and product offerings
  • Keep competitive research on any threats to Approvely in the industry and propose proactive strategies to mitigate risks and maintain our competitive edge
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate market dynamics, customer feedback, and industry regulations to inform strategic decision-making and drive business growth
  • Act as a key liaison between sales, product development, and management teams to ensure a cohesive approach to product innovation and market expansion.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred)
  • 5 Years B2B Sales Experience
  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales, particularly within the gaming and/or payments industry
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and adapt to different projects and capacities within a fast-paced startup environment
  • Willingness to collaborate with team members from various departments to achieve company goals
  • Ability to thrive in a small team setting with a "can-do" attitude and a strong commitment to teamwork
  • The ability to work remotely and independently while driving results in a high-performance team environment
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to travel periodically for team training and industry events
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and customer-focused individual
