Our client, a leading global organization in the materials industry, known for its extensive portfolio of valuable assets and significant reserves, is currently seeking an experienced Director of Regional Contract Management to join their dynamic team. With a substantial presence in the metals sector, our client operates across diverse global landscapes, capitalizing on extensive reserves of copper and gold. Their operations span expansive territories in both North and South America, solidifying their position as a key player in the industry.

  • This role offers the freedom to work remotely for a large portion of your time, with occasional visits to our headquarters or client locations. You can choose to live and work in almost any state in the US (excluding CA, CT, IL, KS, KT, MA, MI, NH, NY, NC, OK, SC). We actively support remote work and will provide relocation assistance if the position transitions to full-time in-office in the future (based on eligibility).

Focus:

  • Contract Management: Take a leadership role in managing E, C, EP, EPC, EPCM, and CM contracts from negotiation through closeout for large mining, oil and gas, or industrial projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide comprehensive knowledge of construction-related processes and industry practices to ensure effective contract management.
  • Compliance: Stay updated on changes in relevant regulations and standards to ensure contract compliance.
  • Audit Support: Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support during audits and reviews of contracts.
  • Process Enhancement: Identify opportunities to improve contract management processes, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Legal, Finance, and Operations, to address contract-related inquiries and facilitate interdepartmental projects.
  • Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to contract management staff, promoting continuous learning and skill development in contract management practices.

Skill Set:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or related field; professional certifications such as CPCM or CFCM preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management roles, with a focus on managing E, C, EP, EPC, EPCM, and CM contracts for large mining, oil and gas, or industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction-related processes and industry practices.
  • Proven ability to manage complex contracts and negotiations effectively.
  • Experience working with contract management software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in contract management
