Role Overview:
As the Director of Product, you will oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept to execution, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, creativity, and market relevance. This cross-functional role requires product management expertise, creative acumen, and a deep understanding of market trends and consumer preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the company's vision and brand DNA. Identify market opportunities, consumer needs, and competitive landscapes to drive product innovation and differentiation.
Conceptualization and Ideation: Lead the brainstorming and ideation process to generate new product concepts and designs. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to translate ideas into compelling product concepts that resonate with our target audience.
Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end product development process, from initial design to prototype and sample development until final production. Identify and collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of product sourcing.
Quality Assurance: Establish rigorous quality standards and protocols to maintain the integrity and consistency of our product offerings.
Market Research and Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive dynamics in the home and gift space to inform product development decisions and strategy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and operations, to ensure alignment and integration across all stages of the product lifecycle.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Design, or a related field.
8+ years of proven track record of success in product management in the home and gift industry.
Strong creative and design sensibility.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies related to consumer goods product development.
Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant tools for product design and development.
Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality, accuracy, and execution excellence.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results under tight deadlines.
