Role Summary


This Director of Marketing will oversee all strategies and activities across our English-language social media channels, ensuring our social media activities engage with and resonate with the intended audience. The Director of Marketing coordinates strategic partnerships, attends events, manages English content creators, and oversees all English production and content management of social and web content. The Director of Marketing steers marketing campaigns for varying GenV campaigns. 


The Marketing Director focuses on driving the technical proficiency and effectiveness of marketing operations, ensuring a metrics and data-based approach to strategies and performance management. With an understanding of the marketing tech stack, analytics, and IT infrastructure, this position ensures the organization's marketing machinery runs seamlessly, and that decisions are deeply rooted in data. The Marketing Director leads insights and trends analysis to equip the social teams to make data-informed decisions to drive high impact outcomes for the organization. 


The Marketing Director oversees a team, including the Marketing Manager, Social Media Coordinator and Digital Ads Specialist for the English language channels. The Marketing Director is also part of the GenV senior strategy, providing input to our overall strategic direction.  



Responsibilities


Senior Strategy:

  • Participates in leadership discussions and collaborates for strategy development, organizational alignment, and high-impact outcomes. 
  • Oversees the Marketing Operations and English Channel budget 


Collaboration with Regional Directors:

  • Works closely with the Regional Marketing Directors to create strategies and to ensure global and regional alignment in execution.
  • Coordinates with the senior strategy to devise high impact marketing campaigns for GenV projects and campaigns. 



English Social Media Channel Strategy:

  • Oversee the development and execution of all content and campaigns for English social media channels.
  • Ensure content aligns with brand identity and resonates with the target audience.
  • Grow GenV brand in US/UK
  • Build partnerships with associated organizations and activists, develop relationships with influential individuals.


English Team Operations:

  • Constantly assess the performance of English Team members, ensuring the team has the resources necessary to keep a high level of results.
  • Guide team members on their needs for training or support to drive them to the necessary point of contact.
  • Train and oversee team members to keep up with the GenV’s brand standards.


Continuous Learning & Improvement:

  • Stay on top of the latest in marketing technology, trends, and best practices.
  • Lead workshops and training sessions, focusing on the technical aspects of marketing, to upskill the team.


Technical Oversight:

  • Leads the integration, management, and optimization of the marketing tech stack.
  • Collaborates with IT support and external web teams to ensure smooth operations, troubleshoot issues, and implement technical solutions.


Data Analytics & Reporting:

  • Champions the organization's data-driven approach by leveraging advanced analytics tools to gather and present insights to inform strategies.
  • Regularly present detailed reports on performance metrics - website conversions, social media performance, team performance, and more - to senior leadership and board members.
  • Identifies areas of improvement and growth opportunities through consistent data analysis.


Operational Efficiency & Scalability:

  • Streamline operational processes to enhance efficiency and ensure the marketing team can effectively manage growing demands while consistently improving marketing performance metrics.
  • Establishes and maintains processes that promote scalability, especially concerning the management and coordination of multiple social media accounts across regions.



Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent marketing and communications skills
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (FB, IG, TT, LI, YT)
  • Strong understanding of farmed animal rights advocacy
  • 5+ years of digital marketing experience
  • 4+ years experience of working in the non-profit/advocacy space
  • 3+ years team management experience
  • 2+ years digital paid ads experience
  • Budget management experience
  • Highly creative and strategic
  • Experience with remote working platforms like Monday.com, ManyChat, AgoraPulse/SproutSocial, Google Suites, and other marketing automation tools.
  • Experience of utilizing Ai to generate ideas and improve productivity 




  • This is a remote-working position open to candidates based within the U.S.
  • Candidates must be legally permitted to live and work in the U.S.
  • Candidates should be available for occasional travel to events and conferences.
  • Salary range: $70,000 – $80,000 experience dependent. 
  • Annual PTO allowance: 20 days + national holidays.
