Director of Finance

A great UHY client is seeking a Director of Finance to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analytics/budgeting/forecasting, sales tax and compliance experience, and cash flow/working capital management experience.

The Director of Finance role is onsite, but with some flexibility. This is a client direct hire position.

Director of Finance Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the financial strategy aligned with our growth and profitability objectives.
• Collaborate with the executive team to align financial planning with the broader business strategy.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and provide regular financial forecasts and projections.
• Prepare and present accurate financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Oversee sales tax compliance efforts, ensuring accurate and timely filing of sales tax returns across various regions.
• Stay informed about evolving sales tax laws and regulations and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
• Collaborate with tax authorities and external partners on sales tax audits and inquiries.
• Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Implement and optimize efficient financial systems and processes.
• Manage cash flow and working capital to support our operations.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks and internal control weaknesses.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting requirements, and other relevant laws.
• Manage investment portfolios and assess investment opportunities.
• Optimize capital structure and financing options to support our growth initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and other external partners.
• Negotiate favorable terms for loans, credit facilities, and other financial agreements.
• Contribute to the development of company's long-term strategic plans.
• Assess potential mergers, acquisitions, or other strategic initiatives from a financial perspective.

Director of Finance Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
• Proven experience as a Finance Director or in a similar senior finance role within a rapidly growing e-commerce company.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools.
• Outstanding leadership and communication abilities.
• Strategic mindset with a history of delivering results.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
