Job Responsibilities

The Director of Admissions will develop and manage all college admission and recruitment activities. Collaborate with academic, financial, and student services departments to develop and implement a comprehensive admissions and recruitment plan. The incumbent will also be expected to provide leadership for Admissions and Recruitment and supervise and evaluate professional and support staff assigned to the department.

Develop, supervise, and administer innovative recruiting initiatives to increase new student enrollment at OCtech. Design and implement the annual recruitment plan, which includes recruitment and admissions activities for the year.

Recruit prospective students from high schools, businesses, industries, and community job fairs.

Manage office activities and supervise the college admissions and recruitment staff including training activities, personnel schedules and evaluations, and intraoffice and inter-office communication (including student notifications).

Create and administer integrated admissions initiatives to efficiently move students from the application process through matriculation.

Manage case management assignments and actively work assigned case load and provide enrollment services to students to supplement work of the advising office when needed.

Serve as a member of the Enrollment Management taskforce and other designated college-wide committees, develop an annual unit plan, report outcomes, and monitor the Admissions and Recruiting annual budget.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

A master's degree and experience in student services programs.

Preferred Qualifications

Two (2) years experience in higher education setting, experience in enrollment management planning or admissions is preferred.

Knowledge of college recruiting, admissions practices and advising skills. Must have the ability to supervise and manage staff and budgets and effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Maintain productive working relationships with staff, students, parents, faculty, staff, and the public in general. The individual must be proficient in using and applying technology including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
