Real Chemistry is looking for a Director, Market Research join our growing team!

The Director, Integrated Intelligence, Marketing Research role is primarily responsible for leading a range of primary market research and integrated analytics projects.This individual will work within the market research team and to be a project owner, responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of market research projects that deliver clear and compelling outcomes that meet or surpass the client’s objectives.

The successful candidate must collaborate effectively with other team members, have the ability to build and maintain client relationships, and consistently demonstrate analytical and interpretive skills with proficiency in uncovering insights from data.A minimum of 8 years of experience in the primary market research setting preferred.

This role can be remote in the US or in any of our US offices, including New York City, Boston, Chicago, or Philadelphia.

What You’ll Do

Lead and Execute Comprehensive Market Research Projects: Take full ownership of projects from inception through to completion, including project design, questionnaire development, fieldwork, analysis, interpretation, and presentation. Ensure all aspects are aligned with the client's specific needs and objectives within the healthcare sector.

Client Relationship Management: Serve as a proactive, day-to-day point of contact for clients, ensuring open communication and satisfaction. Develop a deep understanding of client business challenges and objectives, positioning oneself as a trusted advisor by delivering insights that inform strategic decisions.

Methodological Expertise: Develop and apply a robust understanding of quantitative research methodologies and analytical techniques specific to the healthcare industry. Identify the most appropriate methods to address client questions, including but not limited to segmentation, key driver analysis, and advanced analytics.

Operational Efficiency and Innovation: Continuously seek and implement ways to improve project execution and deliverables quality. Embrace and champion innovative approaches and tools that enhance research effectiveness and client value.

Team Leadership and Development: Play a pivotal role in coaching and mentoring junior team members, fostering a learning environment that encourages professional growth. Lead by example in executing research methodologies and in client interactions. Contribute to the development and facilitation of internal training programs tailored to advancing team capabilities in quantitative research and healthcare industry knowledge.

Flexibility and Adaptability: Demonstrate the ability to flexibly allocate time and effort across various projects and responsibilities, adapting to shifting priorities and project needs in a dynamic, small team environment. Ensure that high-quality work is delivered.

Strategic Proposal Writing: Craft compelling, clear, and client-focused research proposals that effectively communicate the proposed approach, methodology, and value proposition. Incorporate innovative ideas and methodologies as appropriate, ensuring alignment with client objectives and industry trends.

Industry and Client Knowledge Development: Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare industry and our clients’ roles within it. Use this knowledge to anticipate client needs and deliver actionable, strategic insights.

Qualifications

What you should have:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in primary market research with a strong focus on quantitative methodology
  • Must have a solid understanding and practical experience in quantitative methodologies (i.e. segmentation, ATU, etc.) and proficiency in various analytical techniques (i.e. regression, clustering, conjoint analysis, MaxDiff etc.)
  • Ability to develop and articulate a clear vision for comprehensive analysis plans, directing data scientists in the execution of these plans. Should possess the capability to interpret complex statistical analysis outputs and translate them into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, with proficiency in presenting complex data insights in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with statistical software such as SPSS, SAS, R, or Python is essential for effective collaboration with data scientists and for the hands-on analysis when required.
  • Understanding of the healthcare industry’s landscape, including market dynamics, regulatory environments, and key stakeholders, to effectively anticipate and meet client needs is desired but not required.
  • Proficient in current market research best practices, industry standards, and emerging methodologies, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Pay Range: $120,000-$150,000

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.  Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
