Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Director of Legal and Compliance to join our team,

reporting directly to the Head of Global Growth Enablement. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a

strategic advisor to business leadership across various segments, including Edynsco Engineering and Construction, Edynsco Renewable Energy, Edynsco Sustainable Farms, Edynsco Real Estate Development, and Edynsco Capital Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Legal and Compliance Advisory:
• Provide expert guidance to business leaders on legal and compliance matters, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies.
• Act as a trusted advisor to different business segments, collaborating closely to address legal challenges and foster compliance best practices.
• Corporate Risk Management:
• Work in conjunction with country Legal and Compliance teams to formulate and implement effective corporate risk management and compliance strategies.
• Develop and enhance processes to monitor and mitigate legal and compliance risks associated with business operations.
• Focus on Corporate Legal Presence, Contracts, and Purchasing:
• Lead efforts in corporate legal presence setups across business segments.
• Oversee the drafting, review, negotiation, interpretation, and approval of supplier and customer contracts.
• Play a key role in managing purchasing-related legal and compliance activities.
• Contracts Oversight:
• Manage the company's Contracts function, ensuring a streamlined and efficient process.
• Drive excellence in contract management, from creation to execution, ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies.
• Others:
• Conduct thorough legal research to stay informed about relevant industry regulations and changes in
  
  

legislation.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess and mitigate legal risks associated with business
  
  

decisions and initiatives.

• Manage relationships with external legal counsel and oversee legal proceedings when necessary.
• Establish and maintain effective compliance programs, policies, and training to promote a culture of
  
  

integrity within the organization.

• Monitor and assess the company's adherence to internal policies and external regulations,
  
  

implementing corrective actions as needed.

• Advise on data protection and privacy matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and
  
  

regulations.

• Stay abreast of emerging legal trends and proactively recommend adjustments to policies and
  
  

procedures.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• 10 years of experience in a similar legal and compliance role, preferably in a multinational corporation.
• Proven expertise in corporate legal affairs, risk management, and compliance strategies.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, purchasing processes, and corporate legal presence setups.
