As we have expanded the ambitions of these brands globally, we now have openings for a Director both on the SweeTARTS and Black Forest brands. Reporting to our Vice President, Global Brands, the Brand Director serves as the brand lead for developing strategies for Ferrara’s most recognized and high potential Brands – and then implementing and executing those strategies across the Marketing Mix.

Ways you will make a difference

  • Create the Vision of the Global Brand: Ground the brand’s Positioning, map the future through development and implementation of innovative and exciting growth strategies and marketing plans for the Brand. This includes driving the consumer agenda, owning the P&L and achieving financial growth targets.
  • Own & Drive the Brand Strategy: Based on the Vision and Consumer, survey and assess product, promotion, and communication opportunities to support the brand’s growth agenda. Ensure strategies are based on sound consumer and market research – as well as category and competitor analysis.
  • Face of the Brand: Drive the Brand Agenda, and build a strong collaborative partnership with cross-functional team
    • Consumer Facing: Own the Positioning of the Brand. Continuously monitor market research, evolving consumer demographics and customer input to innovate and ensure our products will continue to meet shifting market demand.
    • Customer Facing: Partner with Channel Marketing and Category Management to ensure sales efforts are aligned with brand strategy, including the creation of highly influential selling stories and support materials to field teams
  • Brand’s Innovation & Renovation Agenda: drive a winning portfolio, based on the Consumer Landscape and white-space opportunities:
    • Renovation: ensure that your core product portfolio delivers competitive advantage – and proactively address any product gaps
    • Innovation: partner with R&D to scope and commercialize new incremental new products and platforms, incorporating best practices and demonstrating an awareness of the landscape – and grounded in the Brand’s positioning
  • Lead Winning and Breakthrough Communications: Partner with internal stakeholders, creative agencies and media partners to develop innovative, contemporary and demand-generating advertising and promotion campaigns for the Brand – connecting with the consumer where they are. Manage agency relationships to ensure they deliver the right quality, on time at a competitive price.
  • Player / Coach: Lead and develop team of direct reports:
    • Build a motivated, powerful, and high-functioning Brand Team to
    • Ensure the achievement of revenue targets and profitability

Experiences that will support your success

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience developing and executing product and marketing strategies.
  • Display strong leadership skills, ability to collaborate and work across functions and a passion to grow the organization’s marketing capabilities.
  • Prior experience in confection industry preferred.
  • Prior experience in managing global brands a plus.
