Design Intern

CSI is looking to hire a disciplined designer looking to prove themselves as our next Drafting Intern. In this part-time position, you will be responsible for the drafting and design assistance of fabricated items. You’ll perform drawing revisions based on customer and As-Built fabrication redlines and create models of 3D parts.

With supervision, you’ll perform drawing creation on major projects and the complete 3D creation on basic food, dairy, and beverage panel projects. This role will require strong communication and people skills as you work with the design team and customers to create an accurate finished product. You'll also have the

opportunity to hone your skills in 2D drafting techniques and 3D modeling through the use of AutoCAD software.

Salary: $17 - $20 hourly

Standard work week will be 20+ hours.

Required Education

• Education/Training:
• High School diploma or equivalent, required
• Pursuing a College Degree, preferred
  
  

Required Experience

• Inventor
• 1 year minimum of current release or one release older
• AutoCAD
• 1 year minimum of current release or one release older
  

This position requires the ability to interact with employees verbally and in writing, remain in a stationary position for 80% of the workday, have close visual acuity, and constantly operate a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as a phone, copy/fax/scan machine, computer keyboard and

mouse with or without reasonable accommodation. This position also requires the ability to occasionally lift, stoop, bend, and lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
