Join the UCSB Baseball Team as a Volunteer Database Architect. This pivotal role involves designing and managing a comprehensive database to house all UCSB baseball-related data. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Director of Analytics to revolutionize how data is utilized within our baseball program, enhancing performance analysis and strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
Design and implement a robust database structure to accommodate diverse data types, including Excel files, video footage, and additional formats as required.
Ensure the reliability, security, and accessibility of the database.
Collaborate with the Director of Analytics to identify data needs and ensure the database aligns with strategic goals.
Manage data imports and ongoing maintenance to keep the database functional and up-to-date.
Qualifications
Proven experience in database design and management, with a portfolio or examples of previous work.
Strong familiarity with database technologies and software, particularly those suitable for handling large datasets and multimedia files.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Passionate about baseball and sports analytics.
