Data Science Expert (Tech Editor)

We are looking for a passionate Technical Editor with experience in the field of Data Science, Data Analytics or BI Analytics to join our team as a contractor. If you have excellent writing skills in your skillset and are starting in tech, studying in a Data Science (or related) bootcamp, or already working in this field and looking for a part-time gig, this would be an ideal match.

Please note that after applying for this position, you will be required to complete a test assignment after your Online Introductory Call.

What you will do:

• Collaborate with the Data team to review and edit training materials (lessons, tasks, quizzes) and documentation for student projects on the programs.
• Edit content for manuals, guides, and technical documents.
• Ensure all written content meets industry standards and aligns with bootcamp objectives.
  
  

Requirements:

• Time commitment: be able to devote at least 20h per week, ideally between 9 am - 5 pm ET.
• Proven experience as a Technical Editor or similar role, preferably in the field of Data Science, Data Analytics or BI Analytics.
• Know Python and SQL. Experience with Tableau and Power BI is a plus.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, reviewers, and tutors.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Your own experience as a student online, and the desire to help create the best place in the world to study Data Science and BIA.
• Passion for education, continuous learning, and helping others succeed in their learning journey.
• Familiarity with content management systems and collaboration tools.
• Familiarity with online education platforms and instructional design principles is a plus.
