We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Cyber Security Analyst to join our team and contribute to our mission of safeguarding our clients' digital assets.


Job Overview: As a Mid-Level Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the security posture of our clients by proactively identifying and mitigating cyber threats. You will work within a collaborative team environment, leveraging your expertise to implement security measures, monitor systems for potential vulnerabilities, and respond to security incidents in a timely manner. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and make a significant impact in the rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and assess the effectiveness of existing security controls.
  2. Monitor security systems, including intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), firewalls, and SIEM platforms, to detect and respond to security incidents.
  3. Analyze security logs and alerts to identify potential threats and recommend appropriate actions for mitigation.
  4. Investigate security incidents, including conducting forensic analysis and root cause analysis, to determine the extent of the breach and implement remediation measures.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  6. Stay informed about the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends, and make recommendations for security improvements based on emerging threats.
  7. Participate in the development and delivery of security awareness training programs for employees and clients.
  8. Assist in the development and execution of incident response plans and procedures.
  9. Provide guidance and support to junior members of the security team, as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a cybersecurity role, preferably within a managed service provider or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, concepts, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with security technologies, such as IDS/IPS, firewalls, SIEM, antivirus, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
  • Proficiency in conducting security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Experience with security incident response, including analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, and ISO 27001.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+, etc.) are highly desirable.
