Your role in helping us shape the future:

U.S. News empowers everyone to thrive. The Sales & Customer Success Manager will partner with our sales and product teams and our partners to ensure the long-term success of our Law vertical.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a strong background in client relations or account management. The ideal candidate is self motivated with an entrepreneurial attitude and values collaboration and creative problem solving. This position will directly contribute to the success of a new revenue model at U.S. News.

Are you up to the challenge?

  • Source, manage and close deals with quarterly and annual targets
  • Own all client communication post-sale helping to build client relationships and ensure client retention
  • Collect assets and onboard clients, helping to ensure a timely launch
  • Monitor and optimize based on client KPIs
  • Assist clients with day-to-day requests
  • Work within a CRM, namely Zoho
  • Lead quarterly business reviews with clients reporting on insights and recommendations
  • Subject matter expert on our products and capabilities with the ability to effectively communicate those to clients
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders including but not limited to sales, marketing, technology - product and business intelligence
  • Contribute to vertical business strategy and help to optimize processes
  • Ensure customer needs and requests are communicated and understood internally


You should definitely have:

  • Three to five years of similar to related experience in account management, sales, or customer support
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required
  • Demonstrated success in fast-paced and demanding client facing environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proactive attitude with the desire to learn our business and become a key player on a results-oriented team
  • Detail oriented and organized with a strong ability to multitask, must be able to juggle multiple projects
  • Experience with platforms such as Google Analytics, Zoho CRM, CMS,etc.
  • Experience with and interest in Legal space is a plus

  • In New York City, the anticipated base salary for this position is $65,000 to $80,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, interview performance, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
