Customer Service Consultant

We are looking for someone to support our new business operations team. The primary responsibilities of this role include supporting the new business application life cycle through a multitude of same day deliverables with a keen focus on resolving not in good order issues and output delivery.

Responsible for performing tasks such as maintaining records, data entry, running reports, indexing, and imaging. Additional responsibilities may include researching, auditing requests, processing work and/or retrieving data or correspondences from files as requested within an appropriate time frame. Supports department and follows organization and department procedures to complete tasks in a timely manner. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Is proficient in multi-tasking and prioritizing work responsibilities.

The Minimum Qualifications
  • 1+ year of life insurance experience required
  • life insurance operations experience HIGHLY preferred
  • Must be advanced in: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams).
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong writing skills are a must!
  • Highly skilled with technology and business systems, must be able to manage multiple applications and windows at the same time.
  • Ability to think outside the box
  • Results driven, problem solver with a meticulous attention to detail
  • Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
  • Ability to contribute to a positive work environment by acting as a team player and assisting others in meeting service standards

  • Knows the customer well and demonstrates superior customer service skills

The Ideal Qualifications
  • 2+ years of life insurance experience highly preferred
  • College degree preferred with a concentration in business, finance or technology
  • Possesses a passion for continuous improvement and the customer experience
  • Additional details:
  • Job duties include: Process and data entering new business applications.. Provide customer service to our internal business teams and external field partners. May perform lead worker duties such as assist in training, answer questions from less experienced staff members.
  • Must be technical saavy and able to use multiple applications and windows. Must be advanced in: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams). Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong writing skills are a must.
If candidates have experience with Life Insurance, Property and Casualty, or Carrier health insurance experience HIGHLY preferred.
(position is 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday, and some workers may work as late as 5pm or 6pm EST)

THIS IS AN ONSITE ROLE, 5 days a week, no exceptions. Must be local to Springfield and work onsite.

MS Office; Exchange.

HS Diploma/GED required.
