We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Credit/Collections Supervisor/Manager in Overland Park, Kansas. The selected candidate will be tasked with overseeing daily activities related to commercial credit underwriting and ensuring all credit decisions align with the company's risk management policies and procedures. This role also involves strategic planning and decision making, and requires close collaboration with other departments such as account management and operations.
Responsibilities
Oversee the daily activities of commercial credit underwriters who assess and decision commercial credit applications using thorough analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information
Provide training, guidance, and support to team members, fostering professional growth and ensuring high performance
Ensure that all credit assessments and approvals are conducted in accordance with established guidelines and quality standards
Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to manage and mitigate credit risk
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in credit analysis and decision-making
Work closely with other departments such as account management and operations to align credit strategies with business objectives
Promote maintenance of strong relationships with clients, providing excellent service and support throughout the credit application process
Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments
Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
Maintain accurate customer credit records.
Requirements
Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
Strong knowledge of Credit and Credit Limit management
Ability to Assess Risk and manage Credit Risk effectively
Experience in Commercial Lending
Familiarity with Interest Rate Risk Management
Proven ability to Conduct Risk Assessments
Experience in Banking Credit Analysis
Proficiency in using Credit Risk Models
Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role in credit/collections
Excellent communication and team management skills
Strong analytical abilities and decision-making skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
