About the job

The Global Creative Director is responsible for managing and directing the global creative team and their output. As Global Creative Director, you will be in charge of cultivation and development of Amazfit’s overall global creative direction.


You will lead and partner with internal & external teams of multi-disciplinary creative teams across projects, working closely with both storytellers (Art, Narrative & Experience) and producers to deliver well-crafted and innovative solutions. You will drive excellence and collaboration, ensuring well-rounded creative to support our brand marketing plans and key consumer concepts that fuel our seasonal and long-term initiatives.


The Global Creative Director is an experienced people-manager, coaches multiple creatives from different backgrounds, and crafts opportunities for individual development, performance management, recognition and rewards — all while encouraging and leading innovative thinking, collaboration, and partnership.


This Leadership Role drives the following accountabilities:

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

You will play a meaningful role in developing and leading work that is a mix of origination for seasonal and long-term initiatives. This position requires building a positive relationship with the Marketing Functions to help strategize against Amazfit’s brand moments.


  • Your experience should include diverse subject areas, from art direction & graphic design, narrative & storytelling, experiential design and consumer journey’s, film and moving image, across digital and physical channels with a strong conceptual process that drives the work.
  • Set the direction and manage internal and external multi-disciplinary squads of designers, narrators and producers to implement full end-to-end creative across all channels.
  • You are a primary partner to the Marketing counterparts and are responsible to drive and lead the seasonal creative and creative strategy across Amazfit globally..
  • With clear focus on the annual brand map, you work with the team to plan the pipeline and align with leadership to ensure the team delivers against the right business priorities. As a leader, you are diverse in thought and well connected to the outside world.
  • You drive the team with energy and always lead by example. You strive under pressure and are positively and emotionally engaged. You are also proficient in matrix navigation, partner management, and enterprise thinking.
  • You are responsible for crafting (in close partnership with the Leadership Teams, as well as wider areas of the Amazfit organization) the future vision of the brand across every consumer touch point, from advertising to brand experiences and everything in between.
  • You'll manage processes to ensure creative results and timelines are met. In addition, you'll provide ideas that influence, increase and improve the Amazfit Brand Creative organization.

Your role will be one of the most integral to our marketing offense, with an incredibly diverse set of partners.


The shape of your day-to-day leadership will vary significantly, and therefore your style and influence will have to adapt accordingly. At all times, you are collaborative and intuitive, seeking new and innovative ways to improve collective thinking. You must multiply the opinions and expertise of those you engage with in order to apply coherent strategy and thinking that leads to new opportunities.


You will partner closely with the production and operation teams to ensure that the creative is delivered on time and to the level of quality encouraged at Amazfit.


Lastly, you will also partner with the Marketing Team to make sure that campaigns are pulled together in an innovative, yet well-rounded way across all the consumer touch points, across our marketplaces.


WHAT YOU BRING TO AMAZFIT

  • Respect, proactivity, and a deep appreciation for diversity and equality in the workplace. You must embody Amazfit’s culture and values.
  • A minimum of 10 years+ Global creative experience with ideally a strong focus on consumer brands and have both agency & internal experience.
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in design or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Great human and leadership skills that enable the team to flourish in your team. This includes a proven ability to listen and empower the team rather than diminish it.
  • Clear, strategic and innovative thinking & solutions to any type of marketing and creative brief or problem.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply these skills in innovative ways that elevate brand excellence, with a comprehensive knowledge of creative processes.
  • Knowledge and sensitivity to creative trends influencing design in general, and in fashion/athletics specifically.
  • Exposure to, management, and in-depth understanding of brand levers & consumer behavior.
  • A strong foundation of technical knowledge in digital and innovative brand practices.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the passion to develop and mentor a team either internal or external.
  • Experience of collaborating effectively with other functions, departments and external partners
  • Passion for reinventing the way we approach traditional ways of working. Not scared to challenge the past, and in doing so, push new creative ways of thinking and working.
  • Great sense of judgment and decision-making. Emotionally intelligent with a growth mindset.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other related programs/tools
