Corporate Account Director - Sephora

Our client is looking for a Key Account Director who will be directing the Sephora account. This role will report to the Chief of Sales. The position requires an experienced leader who has generated significant impact in the industry through both strategic and tactical direction.


The Corporate Account Director will be responsible for delivering sales and revenue targets on the complete portfolio of brands. This role will work strategically alongside Marketing, Product Development, Finance, and Inventory Planning.


The successful candidate will be highly skilled in strategic planning, financial analysis, negotiations, verbal, and written communications.


The Key Account Director will be responsible for developing and driving both top and bottom-line goals while maintaining and enhancing brand equity.


MUST have Sephora corporate experience


Key Responsibilities:

-Develop and drive 360 launch plans, in accordance with brand innovation calendar; curate market decks to include timing by region and unique retailer activations.

-Negotiate support with retail partners (both brand driven and retailer driven support levers), confirm launch dates and forecasts, and align on timelines for supporting deliverables.

-Drive social and digital strategy, delivering assets that reflect the accurate assortment.

-Sales responsibility and P&L ownership (retail sales, co-op, freelance, promo, GWP’s)

- Lead and develop account strategies for innovation, core and promo.

- Achieve fiscal sales and revenue targets for the complete portfolio of brands.

- Maximize growth by working closely with the field teams ensuring seamless execution of confirmed retailer strategies at store level.

- Negotiate co-op, markdowns, chargebacks, sampling programs, return controls.

- Negotiate space and location, endcap and other secondary placement opportunities.

-Deep understanding of retailer dynamics, competition, and local market nuances to identify where to play, how to win. Identify white space opportunities and competitive threats

- Partnering closely with accounts at both corporate and field levels.

-Conduct successful commercial negotiations on terms, pricing, distribution, space and location, in-store visibility, and support with buying and merchandising team driving performance

-Deliver retailer objectives and determine account level allocations (gift/promo/holiday/launch/collateral)

-Track results and trends for business forecasting (weekly account recaps and monthly reporting detailing sell-through, ranking, productivity, competitive analysis)

- Manage the promotional side-by-side calendar, digital programs, and activations.

- Leverage their relationship with each retailer to protect the company’s integrity

-Partner with Supply chain to ensure appropriate stock levels


Qualifications:

-Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in the beauty industry.

-Experience in a Director level leadership positions.

-Must have successfully managed a significant P&L and possess a deep knowledge of the US market, and have extensive business acumen and financial ability (i.e., business drivers, building new channels/growth, savvy with standard business analyses)

-Strong track record building strategic relationships and influencing distribution and retail partners. Sephora experience essential.

-Demonstrate understanding of current retail trends

- “Can-do, hands-on” driver of business with ability to successfully operate independently.

-Strategic thinker who can create and articulate strategy to drive growth

-Persuasive communicator with excellent project management and presentation skills.

-Strong interpersonal skills
