Title: Copy Editor (part time)

Time Commitment: Average 12–18 hours/week, typically between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET, Tuesday through Thursday and possibly some Sundays

Location: Flexible on location (ideally West Coast due to necessary work hours)

In this role, you will be responsible for line editing and copy editing financial research content for grammar and in-house style as well as proofreading for misspellings and other typos. Must be able to ensure clean, accurate copy and be comfortable reading numbers-heavy body copy and charts. You will work closely with the lead copy editor, the copy editing team, and research analysts.

• Have strong organizational and time management abilities
• Maintain and update documentation
• Jump into operations-based projects as needed

Skills and Qualifications:

• Familiarity with the AP Stylebook
• Strong knowledge of MS Word
• Familiarity with Excel and Adobe PDFs
• Strong attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, or related discipline
• At least five years of copy editing experience
• Prior experience working with financial-related or numbers-heavy content a plus but not a requirement
